Not content with sending loads of giant ducks down rivers and over waterfalls for pay as you go treats, O2 have come up with an offer to entice their new broadband customers. Until the 31st March all purchases of O2 Home Broadband come with the first month free!

This is applicable to all three Award winning Broadband products with monthly prices as follows (March 2009)

Note that these prices are applicable if you’re an O2 customer - if you’re not then the prices are about £5 a month more expensive. All packages come with an O2 Wireless Box II and all have Unlimited usage.

If you’re not an O2 customer then you may well want to look at alternative providers and check prices and latest offers. For example Plusnet offer cheap broadband! However, if you’re an O2 customer then it’s worth looking at this deal. Few standard broadband packages offer unlimited download, and at £7.34 a month that’s a fairly cheap offer for average usage (Up to 8 meg download speed).

O2 Broadband Offer First Month Free!

With households across the UK watching every penny broadband packages may well be in the sights of those who are hoping to save money on their current monthly outgoings. And doing their bit for the economy are Plusnet who have introduced what they claim is the UK’s cheapest broadband in the form of Plusnet Value. It costs just £5.99 and has a reasonable 10Gb monthly allowance.

Note that there the offer is limited to 80% of the country - so do make sure you’re living in the right areas! If you’re not so keen on a 10Gb restriction then you can choose an unlimited download option for £11.99 a month for 3 months and then a cost of £15.99 or £19.99 a month depending on your locality.

We expect other broadband providers to follow suit or offer similar deals to the Bundle 2 Package from Virgin Media.

Plusnet Value - The UK’s Cheapest Broadband

Virgin Media have announced a fantastic new deal on their National Broadband Package - Bundle 2! This gives you broadband plus evening and weekend calls to UK landlines, no download limits and a free wireless kit for just £5 a month… although that’s for the first 3 months of your contract. After that you’re only paying £12 a month, but even then that’s a pretty good deal.

If you live in selected areas, you can also double the speed of your broadband and get up to 16Mbps with Broadband Boost. This is free for 3 months as well, but then will cost you an extra £5 a month. If you want to throw in mobile broadband then you can add that to your package and with Bundle 2 it’ll add a further £10 a month.

Which gives you a super fast broadband connection (where available), free calls and mobile broadband for just £27 (or £22 without the super fast me option).

£5 Broadband With Evening & Weekend Calls with Virgin Media!

Voucher codes, offers, discounts and money saving are all the rage in this economic climate and so it’s no surprise to see the broadband providers jumping onboard and offering sweeteners to new would be customers. Be Broadband have just released a set of offer codes which entitle new customers to a nice little freebie, worth £40, when they sign up… you can choose from £40 credit, £40 Game vouchers or a year subscription to T3 Magazine!

To get the freebie you need to use the following codes CREDIT (for £40), GAME (for the vouchers) or T3MAG (for the magazine). The offer is available for Be Unlimited, Be Value or Be Pro packages and terms and conditions do apply. Amongst the most important: it’s one gift per household and credit will not be paid until month 4 or 5 of contract.

So which freebie is best?

Well, as you can pick up a T3 magazine subscription for around £35 we think you’d be better off picking either the £40 credit (if you can wait for a few months) or the game vouchers (which are valid for Game, but we’re not sure what the terms of use are). By not choosing the magazine you’re automatically £5 better off though!
